Vermicelli Kheer Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Broken Sevai (Vermicelli),
- 3 Cup Whole Milk,
- 1 Tablespoon Ghee,
- 1/4 Cup Sugar,
- 1 Tablespoon Raisin,
- 1/4 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder,
- 2 Pinch of Saffron threads,
- 2-3 Tablespoon chopped Dry Fruits (Almonds, Cashew and Pistachios).
Instructions:
First Soak saffron in 2 tablespoon milk and keep aside.Now Heat ghee in a deep pan. Add sevai in it and saute it for 3-4 minutes on low flame.don't burn sevai.
Now add chopped dry fruits, raisin mix it well and roast it again for 2 minutes on low flame .
Then add milk, stir it continuously till milk bring it to boil, then add sugar, again boil it till sevai cooks properly and milk mixture becomes thicker.If you want thickness in kheer then don't add all milk at a time you can add little bit milk 2-3 times,
Now add cardamom powder, soaked saffron and mix it well, cook it for 2 minutes.Sevai Kheer is ready now. Serve it cold or hot as per you choice.
Tips:
- Roast sevai on low flame to avoid burning.
- Use whole milk for good result.
- Add 1 Teaspoon Ghee and saffron before serving for the garnish purpose.
- If you want thicker quantity then add sugar before adding milk and adjust milk quantity for thicker or thinner kheer consistency as per your choice.
